Riding the Wave, 2026, tapesty, 11”x9”

This tapestry is inspired by Hokusai’s The Great Wave. I recreated the famous image through weaving and added my own touch with a light pink sky and an orange sun. Using fiber allowed me to explore texture and movement in a new way. Through this piece, I wanted to honor the original artwork while giving it a softer and more modern feel.
