Midnight Suns is a collection of three ceramic pieces centered around sun-inspired designs. One piece is a cup that I threw on the wheel, while the other two larger pieces were hand-built. I hand-painted intricate and unique sun designs on each piece, using a similar color palette to connect them as a cohesive set. Together, the pieces explore the sun through different forms, patterns, and expressions while maintaining a unified visual identity.
Sculpted Flow, 2026, cermaic and glaze, 6”x3”
Sculpted Flow is a ceramic piece that I threw on the wheel and then altered by hand to create my own unique form. I dipped the piece in white glaze, allowing the simple color to highlight its shape and movement. Through this piece, I explored how I could transform a traditional wheel-thrown form into something more personal and sculptural.

“In Season” is a pair of ceramic pieces that I threw on the wheel and hand-painted with fruit-inspired designs. One features oranges and the other cherries, with red and orange filling the interiors of each piece. I wanted to capture the bright colors and simplicity of seasonal fruit while exploring how familiar everyday objects can be transformed through ceramics.

“A Study in Tidal Colors” is a collection of three ceramic pieces inspired by the movement and colors of the ocean. I threw all three pieces on the wheel and dip-glazed each one, experimenting with color and surface to reflect the shifting tones of water. One of the pieces incorporates multiple colors, creating a layered effect that echoes the way colors blend and change across the surface of the ocean. Together, the three pieces explore my connection to the water through form, texture, and color.
